Rainy days and Mondays, Manic Monday, Monday Monday and Blue Monday.  These are just a few songs written about the most despised day of the week.  Mondays have always been a source of dread, being the first day of a new work week.

Enter the burpee, that dreaded full-body exercise that puts fear in the mind of even the fittest athlete among us.  At this point in time I am not aware of any songs written about burpees, but I do know from experience that they are loved even less than Mondays. This got me thinking, if you start your Monday with a few sets of burpees, then the day can only get better.  

So here you are, your Manic Monday Burpee workout of the month. Perform this workout every Monday morning of this month. If you normally train in the evening then set your alarm for a half an hour early, toss down a Cup of Joe, and do this warm up and Burpee workout before you hop in the shower and  head out the door.

Warm up:  two rounds of
20  jumping jacks
10  push-ups
10 air squats

The workout: A.M.B.A.P. (as many burpees as possible) for 30 seconds, then rest 30 seconds. Continue for a total of 5 rounds.
